14th Chapter

1 Him that is weak in the faith you [are to] receive, but not to doubtful disputations.

For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs.

Let not him that eats [what he wants] despise him that eats not; and let not him which eats not judge him that eats, for God has received him.

Who are you that judges another man's servant? To his own Master he stands or falls. Yes, he shall be held up, for God is able to make him [his servant] stand.

One man esteems one day above another: Another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

He that regards the day, regards it unto the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he does not regard it. He that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and gives God thanks.

What ever a person eats or does not eat is of no consequence in our Living relationship to the Lord our Salvation. However consider that the English word 'thanks' is Eucharist and we see in the word Eucharist that charis, meaning Grace is foundational in the Greek transliteration.  So then in spiritual reality, we all proclaim our Thanks to Yahweh God for the cleansing Grace He gives to us for our sin and death through our Communion in the eating of the Body  and the drinking of the Life giving Blood of Jesus Christ.

For none of us lives to himself, and no man dies to himself.

The 'self' of mankind will always remain with us, but what we do with our self will, remains an enigma until settled in time.

For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: Whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

For to this end Christ  died, and rose, and revived [in the LIFE of Yahweh, His Father], that He might be Lord both of the dead and living.

For every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of all. All judgment has been placed in the hand of Jesus Christ because He is the only proven Righteous MAN and as such, He will Judge the living and the dead.

10 But why do you judge your brother or why do you set at naught your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

11 For it is written, As I Live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to [Yahweh] God. (See Isaiah 45 verse 22 thru 24.)

12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to [Yahweh] God.

13 Therefore let us not judge one another any more: But rather judge this, that no man [none of you] put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in the way of his brother.

14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean [defiled] of itself, however to him that esteems any thing to be unclean [defiled], to him it is unclean.

Jesus said to them: Hear and understand. It is not that which goes into the mouth of man that defiles the man, but it is that which come out of the mouth of man that reveals his defilement. (See the whole Truth Matthew 15 verse 10 thru 20.) Unseen sin, in the body of man, is revealed to exist in mankind, by that which comes out of the mouth of man. That which is perceived by the eyes of man and heard in his ears, is processed in the free thinking mind of man and the thoughts are disclosed by what comes out of the speaking mouth.

All believers rely upon the Living Word of God to equip them with Spiritual understanding that promotes LIFE. However, while we nonchalantly sit in the pews, we are spoon fed, listening to those who appear, on mere surface reflections, to have all the right answers in the light of their understanding.  Many of the noted equippers lack understanding of the heights and depths of  physical world, let alone an understanding of the unseen spiritual world that resolves all matters IN TRUTH. Many things have changed in the last several hundred years and now poses questions as to what is the truth concerning the physical as well as the unseen spiritual world.  Only Yahweh God can provide the TRUTH with His Answer to all that mankind is purposed to know.  Salvation is a Gift that only God can provide, and His Gift of Salvation is not predicated on the physical food that mankind may eat or the natural liquid that he may drink, but Salvation freely remains with Yahweh God's Gift of His unseen Grace through the Man Jesus Christ, for the TRUTH is Constant and is One with Yahweh God, and His Only Begotten Son Yeshua haMashiach.

15 But if your brother be grieved with your food, then do you walk in charity [love]. Do not destroy him with your food, for whom Christ died.

16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

Paul is consistent with his instructions, and utilizes the same thoughts in all of his Epistles. This is probably the reason why Paul writes to Timothy asking him to bring with him the books and especially the parchments. According to scholars, the parchments would most probably have been Paul's notes and copies of his epistles written in his own hand. Non of these parchments are extant.  The earliest known epistles of Paul, were copies believed to have been written by scribes sometime between 175ac and 250ac.

In context, fully consider Paul's writings in 1st Corinthians chapter 6 thru chapter 10, for they are consistent with Roman 14.  In these chapters in 1st Corinthians, Paul continues to speak of foods that are offered to idols.  In the 6th chapter of Corinthians, Paul writes: All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.  Then in Chapter 10, Paul continues with the same words of Chapter 6 that addresses the meats offered to idols, but the conclusion is slightly different: All things are lawful for me, but all things do not edify. Again, Paul is speaking about the superstitions that have become attached to meats that were offered to idols.  Food and drink are among the physical things that do not foul our relationship with the Lord Yahweh God Almighty. The things being referenced in this case are solid foods offered to idols, and solid things of any kind, do not defile the soul of a person. But it is the unseen corrupting aspect of sin that defiles the unseen soul of man.

In the same chapter 10 of 1st Corinthian, Paul warns the Corinthians by giving examples of the sinful failings of some of the Israelites, that brought forth their destruction. (worthwhile reading 1st Corinthians 10 verse 1 thru 12.) But despite the temptations that are common to man, Yahweh God has provided the WAY of escape. Paul, speaking to wise men,  makes the WAY clear with his rhetorical question: The cup of blessing which we bless, Is it not our Communion in the Blood of Jesus Christ?  The Bread that we break, Is it not our Communion in the Body of Christ? (See  1st Corinthians 10 verse 13-16.) Then in Chapter 11, we have encapsulated the TRUTH of the Word of God, as Paul says to the Corinthians, and to those who have ears to hear. You be followers of me, even as I am a follower of Jesus Christ. For I have received of the Lord that which I delivered [gave] unto you. For the Lord Jesus on the same night that he was betrayed, He then took bread and after he had given thanks, He broke it and said: Take and eat: This is My Body broken for you. Do this in remembrance of Me. Who remembers that the Covenant Body of Christ was broken for sinners?  And when they had finished eating the Bread of LIFE, Jesus took the wine and blessed IT, then said to them: This Cup  contains the New Covenant IN My Blood, drink it often in remembrance of Me. If you say you have no sin you make God a liar, and His TRUTH and His WORD is not in you! I would Meditate on this Word of remembrance.

17 For the Kingdom of God is not physical food and drink; but Righteousness, and Peace, and Joy IN the Holy Spirit [of God].

There is absolutely no Righteousness in unseen sin, and there is no Peace in our sin that can not be seen, so how can there be any true Joy in that which defiles the unseen soul of man.  The Kingdom of God is in the Righteousness and Peace that brings about our joy in Yahweh God's Holy Spirit Who gives LIFE to hungry and thirsty souls.  For My Flesh is Real Food indeed, and My Blood is Real Drink indeed. (See John 6 verse 53 thru 57.) To this day, the blind lacking faith in the TRUTH of the Word of God continually promote discord among the brethren over the unsearchable substance that Jesus Christ says is Real Food and Real Drink, and whosoever eats of His Real Food and Drink shall have Joy in living IN Him through God's Holy Spirit of Life. What the carnal man can not see, he dismisses in his carnality and continues in killer sin. O wretched man that I am, who shall save me from this body of death?

The Kingdom of God is the Kingdom of LIFE, and all the unseen things of LIFE are born of Faith IN Yahweh Almighty God, the Giver of LIFE through His Living Sacrifice of the Man Christ Jesus.

18 For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

19 Let us therefore follow after the things [food] which makes for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

20 For that which is to be eaten destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure [free from sin and guilt]; but it is evil for that man who eats with offence [as a stumbling block].

21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.

22  Do you have faith? Have faith to yourself before God. Happy is he that condemns not himself in that thing [meat] which he allows [himself to be eaten].

23 And he that doubts is damned if he eats [of that meat], because he eats not of faith: For whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

The carnal man distorts the Word of God to accommodate their own justification of themselves.

The Creator of all things, allows for some clarity to come forth into the present day observations of the natural essence of the DNA that forms the body.  The genetics of humanity, shows a natural dependency upon the Epigenetics that controls the DNA Genetics of mankind.  We have recently observed that what we physically eat, drink, smoke, think, the air we breath with many other environmental etceteras, sets the environment for the human genome.  Now we have come to spiritually understand that the past sins of the fathers are genetically passed on to the offspring into the the third and fourth generations.  The Eternally Wise Creator of all things, told the Hebrews  not to eat certain animals that were definitely not fit for human consumption. In fact He called these animal meats an abomination to the flesh of their bodies, and to avoid pestilence, don't eat the abominable of their flesh.  Yahweh God would oversee and protect His Word of TRUTH, and the Word of the TRUTH of God's Salvation had to be of the pure genetics of Adam that God took from Adam's side and made Woman/Ishshah.  And the Word of God became Flesh and dwelt among us as Yahweh God's pure genetic Son of Adam.

The eating of unclean animals remains a potential calamity in the physical well being  to all persons who participate in that which can produce the pestilence of plagues.  For the TRUTH in understanding, we highly recommend the reading of Scriptures in both Leviticus and Deuteronomy. Also you can visit an encapsulated writing found here Covid 19.

Believing the Truth of the Word of the Creator, I would rather go against the grain of ignorance, and tell the TRUTH of Yahweh God Almighty, than to continue to witness the destructive  pestilence of the variances of the SARS CoV2 viruses. It is good understanding to believe the TRUTH of the Word of God and to avoid that which the Almighty God declared to be unclean flesh.  Even with a beginning abstinence of the unclean animals, I am not sure when the necessary changes in the genome of mankind will take place,  but the avoidance of the pandemic may be facilitated with repentance to God and the partaking in Faith of the LIFE giving Blood of Jesus Christ.  I am but a forgiven man with a little knowledge and understanding of the physical and spiritual nature of creation through the Spirit of the Creator of all things that are visible and invisible.
